Professional Multimedia Software

We build the tools we needed on stage.

MIDI Control  ·  MIDI Routing  ·  Virtual MIDI
Service – Audio  ·  Video  ·  Lighting  ·  Cam – for live performance (art, live music, recital, dance, musical)

Since 2004, the founder — performing as a keyboardist and vocalist — has been writing his own stage software. Not as a side project. As a necessity. The tools existed before the company. AZLIVE was founded in 2015 to give structure to what had already been running live for over a decade.

2004
azMidi
First MIDI control engine for Windows. Proprietary scripting syntax. Drives any MIDI device on a connected interface — program changes, CC mapping, sequenced events.
2008
azRouter
MIDI Router for Windows. Split, merge, re-velocity, re-channelization, re-controllization across user-defined input/output matrices. Handles complex multi-keyboard stage rigs cleanly.
2026
MIDInet
Virtual MIDI over Ethernet. Runtime-configurable virtual interfaces bound to specific NICs. Custom naming, console monitoring, hotplug management. No reboot required — configure live.
2026
azCore
azMidi + azRouter unified. Cross-platform (Mac + Windows). Rust engine, decoupled UI/engine architecture. Extended “az” scripting language. Headless-capable — runs without a display on stage systems.

“Over two decades, one question: what does a musician actually need at showtime? Not features. Speed, predictability, and the certainty the system will not fail at bar 32.”

AZLIVE software is written in Rust — not for the benchmark numbers, but for what the runtime guarantees: no garbage collector pauses, no silent exceptions, no undefined behavior. The engine and the UI are decoupled by design: a crash in the interface cannot touch audio or MIDI state. Every module is isolated, every dependency is deliberate. The system behaves identically in rehearsal and at showtime.

Audio engineering NDI robotic cameras Live video direction Lighting control Backrig design

AZLIVE today covers the full live production chain: robotic NDI camera systems for live video direction, audio engineering on Dante-networked systems, lighting control via DMX, and complete backrig system design. Same philosophy across every discipline — every component understood, tested, trusted. No black boxes at showtime.
